Privacy
Short version: the photo you choose is read by your browser, drawn onto a canvas, and saved back to your own storage. It is never sent over the network.
Your photo
Selecting a file creates a temporary in-memory reference inside the tab. All cropping, resizing, background whitening and JPEG encoding use the browser's Canvas API. When you close or reload the tab, that memory is released and the image is gone. Nothing is written to a database and nothing is kept between visits.
A way to verify it
Load this page, switch your phone to aeroplane mode, then make and download a photo. It works offline, which would be impossible if the file were being processed elsewhere.
Accounts and contact data
There is no sign-up, no login, no newsletter and no email capture. If you write to us we only have whatever is in that message, and we do not add it to any list.
Cookies
The tool sets no cookies and stores nothing in local storage, which is why you never see a consent banner covering the crop box.
Hosting logs
Like any website, the host records standard request information such as IP address and browser type for the page files themselves. Those logs never contain your photograph, because the photograph is never requested from or sent to the server.
